FBAS 83                           Papermaking                              ($40)

Life is too short not to learn at least one very unusual skill. This you do at your kitchen table. And it’s a heck of a lot easier than baking bread. Handmade paper can be used for fine art calligraphy, scrapbooking, invitations, awards, poetry and for casually impressing people at parties when they ask what you do. You’ll learn where to get your materials for free, how to get a printer-quality finish, and how to put your own watermark right in the paper. Every participant will make paper in class. The instructor will also throw in a little paper history and some useful things like how to make the most memorable greeting card or valentine your loved one ever received. It’s so easy you’ll probably want to make the envelope too.
